Who We Are

Specialists in a single, very rare thing

We help Australians buy certified Argyle pink diamonds and hold them properly. That narrow focus is deliberate. It is the only way to do this well.

Why We Exist

The mine closed. The confusion did not.

When Argyle shut in 2020, interest in pink diamonds jumped, and so did the number of sellers happy to blur the line between a certified Argyle stone and a pink diamond of unknown origin. Those are not the same asset, and they are not worth the same money.

We built Australian Diamond Reserve to give buyers one clear, honest route. Every stone we handle is certified and traceable. Every price is a real market price. Every part of the process, from sourcing to storage to the eventual sale, is handled for you and explained in plain language.

We would rather lose a sale than sell you the wrong thing. That is not a slogan, it is how the business is set up to work.

What We Stand For

Independence

We are not tied to a single mine agent or reseller. Our job is to find the right stone for you, not to move whatever stock we happen to hold.

Provenance first

If a stone cannot be traced with a certificate and an unbroken chain of custody, we will not sell it. Origin is the whole point of an Argyle diamond.

Plain dealing

Real prices, real paperwork and clear answers. You will never be rushed, and you will always know exactly what you own and why.

Discretion

Enquiries and holdings are private. We treat your details, and the fact that you are a client at all, in confidence.

Common Questions

Straight answers

Can I really hold a pink diamond in my SMSF?

Yes. The ATO treats a natural pink diamond held in loose form as an ordinary fund investment, not a collectable, so long as the usual super rules are met. Our SMSF page covers the detail.

How do I know a stone is a genuine Argyle diamond?

Argyle diamonds above a certain size carry a laser-inscribed lot number, visible under magnification, matched to an official certificate and a chain of custody back to the mine. We verify all of this before you buy, and you can check the lot number against the official record.

What is a typical starting point?

Investment-grade stones commonly begin around ten thousand dollars, though it depends on colour, grade and size. We can work to most budgets and will be honest if what you want is not realistic.

Where is my diamond kept?

In independent high-security storage in Australia, insured and held in your name or your fund's. You can also choose to take delivery and hold it yourself.

How do I sell later?

Certified pink diamonds trade globally through auction houses, dealers and private collectors. When you are ready to exit, we guide the sale through the channel that suits you.

Is any of this financial advice?

No. We give you information and access to the market. Whether a pink diamond suits your circumstances is a decision for you and your licensed adviser.

Have a question we have not answered?

Ask us directly. We are happy to talk through the market with no expectation that you buy anything.
